  • What was the original body color ?: Potomac Grey
  • What else ? Other details ? Factory options and accessories ?: Red wheels w/black pinstripe. Chrome trim rings.
  • Tell us about your Jeep Willys ? : This Jeep was originally purchased new by my great-grandfather for use on his farm. The farm changed hands a couple times over the years and the Jeep always stayed with it. In 2011 the Jeep was put up for sale and I dragged it home.

  • Tell us about your Jeep Willys ? : Prior to my ownership, this Willys was a plow Jeep used on a small used car lot in the Lakewood area in Colorado. It had a hard life, but the PO was a mechanic. He did the repairs needed to keep it running, but that’s about it.It was listed on Craigslist. I brought it home. It ran well, but didn’t stop. I decided to do a few minor repairs. Fix the brakes. Patch a few rusted panels, etc…, then have fun with it. The next thing I knew, it was broken down to the frame and Willys parts were spread all over the garage. I just couldn’t stop myself. 2 years later, I had built a militarized 3A. We call it ODie.

  • What else ? Other details ? Factory options and accessories ?: It has a Meyer hard top. Transfert case and front differential was added, so it’s now a 4×4.
  • Tell us about your Jeep Willys ? : It was advertised has a CJ-6 1962. I bought it and find out that the serial number was for a DJ-6 1965. The plate on the firewall match the number on the frame rail. I plan to restore it and I bought a jeep parts CJ-6 1966.

  • What else ? Other details ? Factory options and accessories ?: The previous owner installed a snow plow which I removed. It had the heavy suspension option and 15 inch KW wheels.
  • Tell us about your Jeep Willys ? : I always owned a jeep. My first one was a Jeep Cherokee 1988 given by my dad. Then I owned a Cherokee 1998. I’m now driving a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 2007. I own this 1950 CJ-3A and two others; A DJ-6 1965 and a CJ-6 1966 for parts.
