My new tires on my Rubicon

Stock tire size….Hummmm.

I had a hard time to find out a good-looking set of tire for my Rubicon. Stock tire size is 255/75/R17.
It came originally with BF Goodrich Mud terrain T/A KM. It’s the original tire with the “J” thread. I could buy another set but it was expensive and I had a bad experience with them. I was looking for Goodyear wrangler MTR with Kevlar but they were not available. Then I look for the new model of BF Goodrich the KM2 but I was not convinced. So I finally find out Firestone Destination MT. I think they look great on my JK. I paid them 1200$ CAN total.

Here is the old BF Goodrich on top versus the Firestone Destination MT below;

I tried them as soon as I arrived at home! We still have some snow;

Let me try it longer and I tell you how it goes.

Here is what I got for freewp-monalisa icon from my neighbor;

Two USMC Jerry Can.

One is dated 1953 and the other 1978.

I found a jerry can carrier on Ebay for 40$. It’s not a brand new but it has been sandblasted and got a primer.

Part number stamped on it is; MS 53052-1 USMC

I will make a bracket to install it on the back:

It will look nice. I plan to paint it all black.

Department of the Army Technical Manual

You are looking for technical manual for jeep Willys MB, GPW or M38?

Of course you can go on Ebay … but why should we pay for it?

I found this website www.liberatedmanuals.com (via www.ewillys.com) with a lot of military documents. I do agree with the website author.  I don’t want to give my money into the dirty hands of CD-ROM selling mafia.

But wait, there is nothing about M38 on that website? Right! So a reader from ewillys point me out to this website www.archive.org. Voila! You can now get all the manual in pdf format for free! They are in the public domain.

Internet rocks!

It has a siren but this is the only thing I see to said that it’s a fire truck.
I would like to see the serial number of it.
