The Willys Club

The Willys Club

Old timer will remember this Willys Club and their Willys World Newsletter.

TheWillysClub

The Willys Club was dedicated to the preservation and restoration of all Willys vehicles manufactured from 1933 to 1963.

The Club was started back in 70’s (1974) by Ron Ladley and John Bokeno. Carl Walck had it through the mid 80’s till early 90’s then it went through 2 guys and then folded.

The Willys World Newsletter was the official bi-monthly publication of the club. A lot of time was put in this club and it last very long. (More than 20 years)

I really like their Logo. (The small little face in the upper left corner.) That logo was used by Willys-Overland in their Newsletter to the dealers. He was called Willy Worthy if I remember correctly. It was back in the 50’s early 60’s.

  1. I have a m-38 I need to move out of state. Can I use a U-Haul auto hauler to move it on? Has anyone used a U-Haul auto hauler, and how far did they travel? Thank you.

  2. Yes you can use an U-haul auto transport. You just need to go on their website and fill the form. They will ask you what type of car you will haul and what type of car will be hauling. So you will know if you can or can’t. I know that in US, you cannot haul if your vehicle doesn’t have an hard top. This mean that if you have a Jeep Wrangler with a soft top then you can’t. You can pick an auto transport almost anywhere and drop it where the nearest U-haul is suitable for you. This is also valid for US across Canada. Here is their website: https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/Auto-Transport-Rental/AT/
